Dear MacGillivray,

You will remember that when you were in England last year you asked me if I could get any information about the

lease of Crown Lands in Hong Kong and Singapore. I understand that there were no arrangements in Singapore similar to those envisaged in Jamaica.

We have, however, asked Hong Kong for information and they have sent us a note on their procedure for computing Crown Rents and copies of the forms which are used in connection with the leases. I hope these may be of some use to you.
